THE DEVIL'S IN THE DETAILS

“Devil’s in the Details”

This is our Halloween theme show with a kind of a 50’s, 60’s sensibility – “Creepy” and “Eerie”, easy on the “Vampirila” and “Tales of the Crypt”. “Nightmare Before Christmas” as opposed to “Nightmare on elm Street”.  More “Ghostbusters” less “Chain Saw”.  Kind of “Psycho” lite.  Family friendly chills, in originals and prints, 2D and 3D.

Dates of show:  October 25 – November 15, 2013
Opening Reception: Fourth Friday, October 25, 5-9 pm
Free trick or treat bag to the first 24 family units.  Filled with prints and other goodies!

“INVISIBLE SPECTRUM”

“INVISIBLE SPECTRUM”
An exhibit of art, sculpture and photography by emerging artist Sierra Fry
Oct 11- 19, 2013
Opening reception: Sunday, October 13, 2-4 p.m.

Remarkable and driven at the age of 17, Sierra Fry paints, sculpts and draws well beyond her years.  She possesses an eye for detail, sense of balance and an essential belief in the weirdness of the world that will surprise, delight and perhaps frighten the viewer.  This is your chance to see the pupil stage of that rare breed – a talented young artist encouraged to do what she loves.  You can say, “I knew her when…”  Remarkable and memorable.
Sierra currently hones her skills in Art III under the tutelage of Mr. Curt Miller at Eastern York High School.  Last summer she attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston for a 5 week pre-college course.  She has taken two classes in portraiture and figure drawing at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in Lancaster.  Sierra also takes drawing lessons from Robert Oughton of York County.
